Who runs this site

JapanCompany is an independent reference site about foreigners starting and running a company in Japan — incorporation, the Business Manager visa, taxes, and operations. It is not affiliated with the Japanese government, any law firm, or any administrative scrivener. We write for the people the rules affect most: foreign founders reading about Japanese business in a second language.

How we keep the facts right

Rules change, and one wrong detail can cost someone time and money. So we hold every page to a simple standard:

• Every factual claim is checked against official sources — the Ministry of Justice (Legal Affairs Bureau), the National Tax Agency, and the Immigration Services Agency — and linked inline the first time it matters, so you can read the original for yourself.
• Dates, fees, and eligibility figures are traced to the primary source that publishes them — never to another blog.
• Every guide shows a visible “last updated” date, so you always know how current the information is.

This site is a reference, not a substitute for professional advice.
